The Jive
Learn To Jive
The Jive is a lively, energetic dance. It is classed as one of the five international Latin dances which include Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba and Pasodoble.
Jive originated in America in the 1940’s and has influences in Boogie, Swing, Lindy Hop and Rock & Roll.
The feet should be controlled, kept under the body with the knees close together. A strong use of the knees is used to give a bounce action. If you have knee problems please let us know.
